Strangely, there don’t really seem to be any kind of obituary notices for him, even in the French press, which is a little sad.

Berthier started acting during the war, and made over sixty films, several of which were international co-productions. Of particular interest, as far as I’m concerned at any rate, were Gianfranco Parolini’s back-to-back peplums The Old Testament and AD79, Sergio Grieco’s spy flic The Tiffany Memorandum and Enzo Castellari’s Eagles Over London. He didn’t turn up in a great deal once the seventies had passed, and was more commonly to be found on French TV. He also had a long and succesful career as a dubber (he dubbed Gian Maria Volonte for Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion, amongst many others).

Tom Betts over on the Spaghetti Western Web Board has posted a notice that Jacques Berthier died on the 6th April.
