Giovanni Elsner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This blog in danger of becoming an obituary listing at the moment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_1507\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1507\" style=\"width: 375px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1507  \" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"gianni-elsner\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewildeye.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/gianni-elsner.jpg\" alt=\"Gianni Elsner\" width=\"375\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thewildeye.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/gianni-elsner.jpg 375w, http:\/\/www.thewildeye.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/gianni-elsner-162x88.jpg 162w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1507\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gianni Elsner in La polizia interviene: ordine di uccidere!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Anyway, Giovanni Elsner isn&#8217;t possibly that familiar a name to Italian film fans internationally, but he was an actor and radio host who was born on Septermber 27th, 1940 and died, after a long illness, on the 5th October.<\/p>\n<p>Born in South Tyrol,he graduated as a dental technician, but decided instead to pursue a career as an actor, moving to Rome in 1965 and enrolling in l\u2019Accademia Nazionale d\u2019Arte Drammatica \u201cSilvio D\u2019Amico\u201d, but he was expelled after about a year for acting in a show without permission from his tutors.\u00a0 He soon started appearing on television, with a part in the long running TV series <strong>Le inchieste del commissario Maigret, <\/strong>before moving into film with<strong> Il decameron No. 3 &#8211; Le pi\u00f9 belle donne del Boccaccio<\/strong> (1971).\u00a0 More parts followed: <strong>Un ufficiale non si arrende mai nemmeno di fronte all&#8217;evidenza, firmato Colonnello Buttiglione<\/strong> (1973), <strong>La polizia interviene: ordine di uccidere<\/strong> (1975), <strong>Paura in citt\u00e0<\/strong> (1976), <strong>Vento, vento, portali via con te<\/strong> (1976) e <strong>La malavita attacca&#8230; la polizia risponde! <\/strong>(1978)<\/p>\n<p>In 1976, he also started working on radio, hosting a talkshow on the Rome-based station Radio Luna.\u00a0 It was a job that lasted for over thirty years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This blog in danger of becoming an obituary listing at the moment.
