{"id":1827,"date":"2010-02-17T14:17:03","date_gmt":"2010-02-17T14:17:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thewildeye.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1827"},"modified":"2010-02-17T14:17:48","modified_gmt":"2010-02-17T14:17:48","slug":"a-doppia-ora-il-mercenario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thewildeye.co.uk\/blog\/latest-news\/a-doppia-ora-il-mercenario\/","title":{"rendered":"La doppia ora, Il mercenario"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Couple of essential new DVDs out this week.\u00a0 Giuseppe Capotond&#8217;s <strong>La doppia ora <\/strong>is a thriller that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewildeye.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1548\" >came out last year<\/a> to quite a bit of acclaim.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the kind of film that <em>should<\/em> get an international release, so this might be out in the UK and the US at some point in the future.\u00a0 But given the pathetic distribution of Italian films recently, it might not.\u00a0 In which case, let&#8217;s be thankful that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.videociak.net\/customer\/product.php?productid=23886\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.videociak.net']);\" target=\"_blank\">Italian DVD actually comes with English subs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Sergio Corbucci&#8217;s excellent western <strong>The Mercenary<\/strong> has come out from Koch in Germany.\u00a0 Looks like a good release, too, with a handful of extras (including a making of feature with Tony Musante, Franco Nero etc etc), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.de\/Mercenario-Gef%C3%BCrchtete-Franco-Nero\/dp\/B0000755WR\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=dvd&amp;qid=1266415947&amp;sr=8-1\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.amazon.de']);\" target=\"_blank\">it&#8217;s only \u20ac13 from Amazon.de<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Couple of essential new DVDs out this week.
