New Soavi plays Rome

Looks like the new Michele Soavi film is having it’s first showing in the Rome Film Festival (the same festival that caused all that controversy when new director Pasquale Squitieri said that it should be used to promote Italian film than as a holiday jaunt for Hollywood stars – what sacrilege!) Details are sketchy, but Il sangue dei vinti is a drama set just after the war, and stars Michele Placido as a police commissioner. Also in the cast are Philippe Leroy (so good in the dismal Mother of Tears), Giovanna Ralli, Stefano Dionisi and Daniela Giordano (is this Dianiela Giordana?)
