Anybody who watches Italian spy films will be familiar with the name Rosella Bergamonti, which crops up in at least five different films. And outside the genre she is credited in about fifty other productions as well. Putting a face to the name, however, is another matter. Ms Bergamonti, it seems, was a sixties precursor to the famed Carla Mancini, an actress who was prominently featured in the cast list more because of her status as a graduate of the CSC than because of the importance of her actual roles. Even if she is credited with a character name, it”s often wrong, so spotting her is a challenge in itself.
Given this, it is hardly surprising that biological information about her is, well, to call it scanty is probably an understatement. I cannot recall ever reading anything about the actress. So if anybody knows anything about her, please post a comment below!
