New from Minerva Classic, a three film Claudia Cardinale boxset.
The films ere:
I Guappi, aka Blood Brothers. This is probably the biggie of the set, Pasquale Squitieri’s excellent 1974 period gangster movie with Cardinale, Franco Nero and Fabio Testi. This one has English options, and comes with a Squitieri interview
Nell’anno di signore, aka The Conspirators, is Luigi Magni’s 1969 historical comedy with Nino Manfredi and Enrico Maria Salerno. This is an obscure one and the release is very welcome, but… no English options (groan). extras include interview with Luigi Magni
And finally, Visconti’s Gruppo di famiglia in un interno aka Conversation Piece. This one does come with english audio but it’s possibly the least interesting of the bunch (it’s already available on DVD in the UK).
