There’s an interesting article in Nocturno about a new TV movie that has just been shown on Canale 5. It’s Negli occhi dell’assassino, a giallo, directed by Eduardo Margheriti, son of the great Antonio, who made Black Cobra 3 nearly two decades ago now…
The plot follows disgraced criminologist Giona De Falco (played by prolific dubber Luca Ward) and female detective Andrea Baldini (the rather strange looking Antonella Troise, who was in The Fishmen and their Queen a few years back), who are on the track of a serial killer who seems to be basing his crimes on one of De Falco’s earlier books. Davide Pulici gives it a good review, saying it has a certain seventies vibe to it and it has a much better ‘look’ than the usual TV productions from Italy.
Who knows, maybe this will get a dvd release sometime? In the meantime, someone seems to have loaded it up on Youtube…Here’s the first ‘part’, and it should be easy enough to follow the other parts from there:
