R.I.P. Alain Robbe-Grillet

I can’t say that I’ve ever watched a Robbe-Grillet film – he’s one of those directors who I can’t quite summon up the effort to investigate – but he was undoubtedly an important figure of the sixties and seventies, both as a novelist and filmmaker. TransEurop-Express, in particular, was an iconic production of the 60s.
