Trappola d’autore

Just out on DVD in Italy is Franco Salvia’s Trappola d’autore, which kind of slipped by me and I don’t think is even listed on IMDB yet.  It looks interesting.  Here’s the synopsis, according to Cineuropa:

Bruna and Marco are two adventurers who live by seducing and blackmailing wealthy couples. Alex, on the other hand, masquerades as a connoisseur of artworks, but is a hacker involved in organised crime and is working, with the attractive Eva, on the programming of software to access the archives of the Secret Services. Marco and Bruna, unaware of their true identity, consider them perfect prey for their next fraud and end up caught in a gigantic network of intrigue and espionage. The romantic involvement between Bruna and Alex complicates the whole matter, and Alex takes the opportunity to implement a strategic plan allowing him to get rid both of the Secret Services and of Ivan, a computer hacker, who is more determined than ever to kill him, as in the past, Alex has cloned his software to steal bank funds during movements.

So, a kind of thriller, spy film, drama.  The cast has a handful of familiar names as well: there’s Orso Maria Guerrini (who was in Keoma early in his career), Angela Molina, Giacomo Gonnella (who was in Avati’s I cavalieri che fecero l’impresa) and Bruno Bilotta, who started his career acting as Karl Landgren in terrible 80s action movies!  Only problem… there aren’t any English subs (isn’t that a surprise).
