Three interesting films released on DVD in Italy this week: Luigi Cecinelli’s giallo Visions, Marco Bellochio’s award winning drama Vincere and Pupi Avati’s succesful comedy Gli amici del bar Margherita. Three interesting films either directed by filmmakers with an international reputation or with the potential for export. So, surprise, surprise… none of them have any non-Italian language options. Now I’d be happy to shell out for any of these if they had, say, English subs, but paying €20 if they don’t is a stretch too far. Maybe they’ll eventually be granted a UK or US release…
