Roberto Burchielli’s Sbirri has just been released on Italian DVD, complete with English subs. This is a kind of crime thriller, in which journalist Matteo Gatti (Raoul Bova) finds himself caught up in the police investigation of the death of his son, who has overdosed on ecstacy. It’s based on true events, apparently – heck, what self respecting Italian thriller isn’t nowadays! – but looks like it could be worth a look.
