Italian singer and composer Mino Reitano has died. He worked on the soundtrack to a handful of Italian films, but possibly his greatest claim to cinematic curiosity value was as the composer and star of Tara Poki (71), a no-budget western directed by the cultissimo filmmaker Amasi Damiani. He was also the protagonist in Pier Carpi’s strange sounding Povero cristo (75), along with Edmund Purdom (who also died recently)
